The objective of this teaching unit is to present to students the latest major advances in the field of basic and applied oncology researches.
The courses will be given in the form of a dozen conferences by French or foreign researchers, invited by the heads of the teaching unit. Each theme will be covered in half a day and students will be given a high point for a constructive exchange with the speakers. Each conference will be preceded by a tutorial classes during which the speaker's most recent article will be analyzed in detail.
The end of this teaching unit will be through the organization of a symposium during which students will present an article selected by the teaching unit responsible for the conference.
Students will be assessed both on their exchange with the speakers and on the presentation of articles as well as on a paper on the research perspectives of the papers presented.

Study of environmental, occupational and nutritional factors and exploration of associated molecular mechanisms. The teaching unit address the fundamentals between environment and cancer, the introduction to health / environment, the criteria of causality and classification of carcinogenic substances as well as the different methods for the environmental factors study.

This training will take place at the veterinary school of Lyon (VetAgro Sup campus - Marcy l'étoile) The goal is to allow students who wish to validate the Level 1 animal experimentation by continuing the study of animal models started in the first year of master of oncology.
Spontaneous models in experimental oncology: oncogenesis, specificities related to the domestic animal, specificities of the clinical veterinary oncology framework, ethical regulation, design and implementation of pre-clinical and clinical tests in animals, animal samples and tumor banks and quality system.
